Jay Harris is President and Managing Member for Infinitybox, LLC, an electronics manufacturing company based in Wood Dale, Illinois.
Before becoming an entrepreneur, Jay spent most of his career at Littelfuse, a Chicago‐area based electronics manufacturer. His career started at Littelfuse on the production floor as an engineering intern, developing processes and machines. When he started as a full‐time engineer after college, he returned to operations in several manufacturing engineering and quality roles. He then joined the product development organization and lead development teams for a range of automotive, telecom and
semiconductor products. He was trained in and taught Six Sigma, APQP and Lean techniques.
From there, Jay went on to take roles in market development and management. He was moved to the senior leadership of the Automotive Division at Littelfuse and held roles of Global Director of Product Development, Global Director of Product Management and Global Director of Business Development. He has traveled extensively in Europe, Scandinavia and Asia.
In late 2008, Jay had the opportunity to acquire the assets of an intrapreneurial project from within Littelfuse. That acquisition became the foundation of Infinitybox, LLC. Since then, he has been managing all parts of the business including capital raising, business development, customer development, new product development and sales. Infinitybox designs, markets and manufacturers electronics modules for the transportation industry. Their customers include manufacturers of fire apparatus, armored vehicles, utility trucks and agricultural equipment.
Jay is a proud graduate of the class of 1991 from Saint Ignatius College Prep. Additionally, he holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University and a Masters of Engineering Management degree from Northwestern University. He is board president of The Pro‐Bono Network, a non‐profit organization bringing volunteer attorneys to people in need of legal assistance in the Chicago‐land area. He also serves on the leadership team for the St. Ignatius Business Society. He lives with his wife and two children in the near‐Western Suburbs of Chicago.
