Mary Clare Greabe Bonaccorsi '82

Mary Clare serves as the Managing Partner of Polsinelli, P.C.’s Chicago office of over 100 lawyers and is also the Chair of Polsinelli’s national Health Care Litigation practice.

She serves as outside general counsel and trusted business advisor to clients who operate in the highly-regulated health care and life science industries. Those clients range from publicly-traded health care companies, not-for-profit health systems, academic medical centers, pharmacies, dialysis centers, medical equipment suppliers, post-acute ventures, and pharmaceutical manufacturers. Mary Clare regularly conducts internal investigations and defends clients before federal and state governmental bodies in licensure, reimbursement and False Claims Act disputes. She has tried cases before judges and juries throughout the United States. Mary Clare spends considerable time on pro bono matters and is a frequent industry speaker and author.

Mary Clare is a Member of the Economic Club of Chicago, is a Member of the American Health Lawyers Association, and is a Fellow in the American Bar Foundation. She is an Adjunct Professor of Health Law and Advocacy at Loyola University Chicago School of Law. Mary Clare also currently serves on the Board of the Garfield Park Conservatory Alliance.

She received her B.A. from Colgate University and her J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law (now the Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law).

Mary Clare and her husband, Joe, are the proud parents of Sarah ’12 and Andrea ‘12. Mary Clare’s siblings, John Greabe ’81, Elizabeth Greabe Antony ’84 and Katie Greabe Mick ’87, are also graduates of Saint Ignatius.
