Dear Ignatius Family,

Thank you to the over 420 golfers who attended and all who supported the Saint Ignatius College Prep 35th Annual Golf Classic. Through your generosity, our net proceeds from the event were upwards of $230,000 in critical funds to support students in need of financial aid. We cannot express enough gratitude for the lives this will change.

Under the guidance of Dave Kavanaugh '57, Charlie Brown '58 and Chairman Emeritus Vince Rangel '63, our Event Chairman, John George '98, and the Golf Classic Committee worked hard for several months to plan this annual Alumni & Friends event. We thank them for the time and effort they dedicated to making the day a huge success. Likewise, to our sponsors, underwriters, golfers, volunteers, and Cog Hill Golf and Country Club, we thank you.

Please know that every dollar raised - from ropes and mulligans to raffle ticket sales - will now be utilized by our Golf Tuition Assistance Fund to help relieve some of the financial stress of tuition costs for our students and their families.

The Saint Ignatius community and Golf Classic Committee mourn the death of Vince Rangel '63. Vince was a founding member of the Golf Classic and served on the committee for 36 years. His love for Saint Ignatius was strong and he was a devoted husband, father and friend to many. He will be missed beyond measure.
