Speaker Series: Demystifying the Job Search 3.4.21

On March 4th, Carol Winfrey gave her insight on the best practices for a job search approach. Carol discussed career planning and finding your path to success. She asked us to look within: within ourselves to find what we are good at and enjoy, within our community to find a connection, and within the marketplace to find the right fit for our goals and strengths. Thank you Carol for the tools and tips!

You may contact Carol with any questions at

Your Mental Health During COVID

The Saint Ignatius Business Society thanks Dr. Nneka Onyezia '99, Clinical Psychologist, for providing insights on mental health signs and solutions during COVID-19. The top themes from the discussion were: Hitting the pandemic wall and giving ourselves grace; creating a sleep schedule by working backwards from when you want to wake up and then putting down distractions 30 minutes prior; focusing on the important things instead of stressors; having shorter, more frequent Zoom or video call sessions with relatives are better; making self-care a priority; setting personal/professional boundaries; and, finding the right therapist involves asking a lot of questions to make sure you are comfortable with them. You may contact Nneka at or 312-725-0225.
